The Sandy River Steelheaders were formed in 1964 and are located along the banks of the Sandy River in Troutdale, Oregon. Since its inception the group has helped to play a key role in the development and conservation of sport fishing and is dedicated to improving the freshwater fisheries in the Northwest. Each year, ODFW stocks millions of trout in dozens of reservoirs, lakes and ponds throughout the state.
